AI Search + UX/CRO Consultant (On-site Search, Website & Landing Page Conversion Optimization) **Summary** Overview We’re looking for an experienced Search + UI/UX consultant with a strong AI perspective to help us improve: 1. our on-site search experience (relevance + UX), and 2. conversion-focused UX across our website and landing pages. This is a consulting engagement. We want someone who can join calls, review our current flows, and deliver clear, prioritized recommendations we can implement quickly. What you’ll do 1) On-site Search (AI + UX) • Review our current search experience and identify friction points and relevance gaps • Recommend improvements for: • results layout & information hierarchy • ranking/relevance UX patterns (best match, explainability, trust signals) • query suggestions / autocomplete • filters/facets and sorting • typo tolerance, synonyms, and zero-results handling • Propose AI-enhanced opportunities (where it makes sense), such as: • semantic/hybrid search patterns • intent detection / query understanding • summaries or “quick answers” on results pages • personalization approaches (if appropriate) 2) Website + Landing Page UX for Conversion Optimization (CRO) • Audit key website and landing page flows to improve conversion • Provide CRO-focused UX recommendations on: • messaging hierarchy and clarity (above the fold) • CTA placement, page structure, and flow • form UX (friction, drop-off reduction) • trust signals, proof placement, and objections handling • mobile UX and page speed considerations • Translate recommendations into testable hypotheses and an A/B testing roadmap Engagement format: • Hourly consulting • 1–2 calls/week to start (45–60 minutes each) • Async feedback via Loom/Docs between calls • You’ll work with our marketing/product stakeholders; we will execute changes internally Deliverables (what success looks like): Within the first 1–2 weeks: • A short audit summary (what’s working / what’s not) • A prioritized recommendations roadmap, broken into: • Quick wins (1–2 weeks) • Medium effort (2–6 weeks) • Bigger bets (6+ weeks) • Specific recommendations for: • search UX improvements (results, filters, zero-results, suggestions) • website + landing page CRO improvements • Optional but ideal: • annotated screenshots / simple wireframes • experiment ideas with hypotheses + success metrics Ideal experience • Proven experience improving on-site search UX (SaaS, marketplaces, knowledge bases, product catalogs, etc.) • Strong conversion-focused UX/CRO experience for websites and landing pages • Comfortable with AI search concepts (semantic/hybrid search, embeddings, reranking, intent classification) and translating them into practical UX recommendations • Able to propose measurable experiments and prioritize by impact vs effort • Strong communicator who can work effectively as an external consultant To apply, please include 1. 2–3 examples of relevant projects (search UX and/or CRO audits) 2.
